Don't Forget Your Boots!

It's generally snowy or muddy out in the fields and woods where our maple trees are located. You'll appreciate your gloves, hats, and, most especially, your boots!

Open Rain, Snow or Shine!

leaf About the Program

The program lasts about an hour and a half to two hours. It consists of 5 segments, each lasting 20 - 25 minutes:

    1. Welcome video upstairs in the 19th century barn that serves as the visitor's center at River Bend Farm
    2. Indoor talk & demonstration about the art and science of sugar-making
    3. A visit to the sampling table to try a bit of maple sap before it becomes syrup and other maple goodies.
    4. A walk to see the maple tapping and collecting process. Watch as a tree is tapped and maybe even lend a hand with a drill. Help carry buckets of sap back to the sugar house.
    5. A visit to our new sugar house to see how sap is made into syrup

There is no charge for this program.

Maple products including maple syrup, maple cream and gourmet maple items are available for purchase during the Maple Sugar Days Demo hours.
